HMPS Conducts Interest and Talent Training

Yogyakarta - The Student Association of Islamic Accounting (HMPS) for the 2021 period through the Human Resources Department (HRD) conducted an interest and talent training activity with the theme “Tips and Tricks to Beat Big Universities in Business Plan Competitions”, held virtually via Google Meet on March 28, 2021. A total of 81 students from diverse study programs, FEBI participated in the event. Through this training, students are expected to maintain the spirit and courage necessary to actively engage in a variety of business plan competitions.
The event, which commenced at 19:30 WIB and was moderated by Ms. Firly Kurnia Maulidini, the head of the HRD department, opened with an introduction of the speaker for this training session, Ms. Riska Oktavia. Ms. Oktavia, a student in the Islamic Accounting program in 2019, was the second winner of the National Team Business Plan Competition at the Diponegoro Entrepreneur Festival 2020.
“We don’t have to wait until we fully understand something or are naturally talented in it. What we need to do is start and make an effort to pursue it, including participating in competitions. We should be courageous enough to try first and persist in our efforts,” said Riska Oktavia.
After presenting the material and sharing the experiences and stories of the speaker in achieving the championship in the competition that surpassed 200 other participants, the interest and talent training session proceeded with an interactive discussion and Q&A session between the participants and the speaker. At 21:30 WIB, the moderator concluded the Q&A and discussion session, acknowledging the late hour, and proceeded with a photo session and the event’s conclusion.
This interest and talent training, held by the HRD department of HMPS Islamic Accounting for the 2021 period, is the second activity following a previous session with the theme “Basic Essay Writing Fundamentals,” held on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Additionally, a series of interest and talent training sessions for students will continue to be regularly held every month.
