Sharing Session: Course Registration with the Head of Study Program

Yogyakarta. The Student Association of Islamic Accounting (HMPS), FEBI, UIN Sunan Kalijaga held a sharing session to discuss the Study Plan Card (KRS) with Mr. Rosyid Nur A.P., S.Pd., M.Si., the head of the Islamic Accounting Study Program. This virtual Zoom meeting, held on Saturday night (31/7), was attended by over 100 Islamic accounting students, including those from the 2020 intake who were filling out their study plans independently for the first time, as well as students from the 2019 and 2017 intakes. The session was moderated by Riska Oktavia, a staff member of the Human Resources Department (SDM) of HMPS-AKS for the 2021 term.
During the session, Mr. Rosyid Nur A.P., S.Pd., M.Si., as the speaker, provided an in-depth explanation of various aspects of the courses and guided the students on how to fill out the Study Plan Card (KRS). He also highlighted the distinctions between the curriculum for the 2019 intake, which adheres to the 2016 curriculum, and the 2020 intake, which follows the independent learning curriculum. These differing curricula naturally lead to variations in courses and teaching methods. For instance, students following the 2016 curriculum are unable to take courses alongside those following the independent learning curriculum. However, it was noted that the Study Program will still assist students who need to take or retake courses by coordinating in advance.
The session also delved into the potential challenges students may encounter when filling out the KRS, drawing from past experiences. In response to these challenges, the study program, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, has undertaken several initiatives to mitigate their reoccurrence. One such initiative involves meticulous schedule preparation and proactive communication with the respective lecturers regarding the courses to prevent scheduling conflicts, particularly concerning teaching times.
Following this session, it is hoped that Islamic accounting students will gain a clearer understanding of the Study Plan Card (KRS) and be better equipped to navigate potential challenges in the future. To facilitate the smooth completion of the odd semester KRS filling for the 2021/2022 academic year, a dedicated filling schedule has been arranged. Islamic Accounting students are scheduled to fill out their KRS on August 4, 2021, from 08:00 to 10:55 WIB. In addressing any challenges related to KRS filling, students can directly communicate through WhatsApp at +62 812-2560-0112 (Ms. Naili) or +62 852-9062-2996 (Mr. Rosyid).
