Sharia Accounting Students Participate in Student Exchange Program at International Islamic University Malaysia

From October 2023 to February 2024, Sharia Accounting Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta conducted a student exchange program with the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). The program involved three students: Qolbin Salim, Shafa Athaya, and Zaki Muhammad Hikam.

This exchange program aimed to broaden the academic perspectives and international exposure of the participants in Sharia Accounting. During their stay, the students attended lectures, engaged in research activities, and participated in various campus events related to Sharia Accounting at IIUM.

Qolbin Salim remarked that the learning experience at IIUM provided fresh insights and a broader understanding of international Sharia Accounting practices. Shafa Athaya added that the program also opened doors to valuable international networks, which would be instrumental for her future career development. Meanwhile, Zaki Muhammad Hikam expressed gratitude for the opportunity to deepen his understanding of the integration of Sharia principles into accounting practices.

Rosyid Nur Anggara Putra, M.Si., Head of the Sharia Accounting Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, emphasized that the student exchange program is part of ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality and expand international collaboration opportunities. He expressed hope that the experiences gained by the students would inspire and motivate their peers.

This exchange program is also expected to strengthen the relationship between UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and IIUM, paving the way for more intensive collaboration in education and research in the future.
