Social Service and Iftar Gathering with Islamic Accounting

Yogyakarta – Student Association of Islamic Accounting Study Program (HMPS-AKS) for the 2021 term is the executive student organization in FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. During this holy month, HMPS-AKS held social service activities and iftar gatherings at the Cipto Siswoyo Orphanage in Bangun Kerto Village, Turi Sub-district, Sleman Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

The social service activities and iftar gatherings mark the culmination of the vibrant Ramadan 1442H/2021 M activities with the theme “Purify the Heart, Let’s Share, within the Framework of Silaturahmi.” The series of events commenced with a donation drive from April 2 to 22, involving students, lecturers, and the general public. On April 16, 2021, a Ramadan Tausiyah event was held, featuring Ustadz Arif Al Anang, M.Lc, who delivered teachings from the book Jazilul Mawahib Fil Ikhtilafil Mazhahib. Additionally, the organizing committee conducted

a Business Fund activity by selling various drinks and takjil to support the funding of the activities.
Friday, April 23, 2021 marked the conclusion of this vibrant Ramadan event with the execution of social service activities and iftar gatherings. During this event, the organizing committee distributed the proceeds of the donation drive in the form of cash assistance, basic necessities, reading books, 10 sets of stationery, 6 sets of sarongs, and other door prizes.

“At the commencement of the event, we rendered the UIN Sunan Kalijaga hymn, which includes the verse “UIN Berkarya Nyata.” Hopefully, our participation here truly reflects our work as students who are still attentive to the environment,” said Muhammad Wahfudin, the chairman of HMPS-AKS.

“Social activities like this must continue to be carried out, and hopefully, they will become a regular event for students,” said Egha Ezar Junaeka, a lecturer in the Islamic Accounting Study Program.

The Social Service event commenced after the Asr prayer, with the MC opening the event, followed by the rendition of the Indonesian National Anthem and the UIN Sunan Kalijaga Hymn. Subsequently, speeches were delivered by the Executive Chairman, the Chairman of HMPS Islamic Accounting, and the head of the Cipto Siswoyo orphanage.

“We extend our sincere gratitude to the students from Islamic Accounting, who have dedicated their energy, ideas, and material resources. We hope that this event will cultivate strong relationships, and this activity is just the beginning, not the end. Once again, thank you very much, including to the donors and event sponsors,” said Usman, a caretaker of the orphanage.

This event was made possible through the generous support of donors, and further bolstered by JET Fried Chicken, PWNU CARE LAZISNU DIY, and Harian Jogja. Subsequently, a virtual Tausyiah event featuring Mr. Abdul Harris as the speaker was held until the time of breaking the fast. This was followed by congregational Maghrib, Isha, and Tarawih prayers. The culmination of the event was a prize quiz.
