Yogyakarta, February 20, 2024 — Sharia Accounting Study Program, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University (UIN) Yogyakarta implemented the Independent Learning - Independent Campus (MBKM) program by conducting an internship at Public Accounting Firm Mahsun Nurdiono Kukuh and Partners (KAP MNK) from March to June 2024. This program is designed to provide students with practical experience in auditing and to enhance their competencies in accordance with industry needs.
The students selected to participate in this internship program are Alif Kahlil Gibran, Linlin Nuraini, Achmad Maulana, Hasanah Listiyanti, and Nidya Zati Hanani. These five students have undergone a rigorous selection process by the study program to ensure that they possess the necessary skills and readiness to face challenges in the professional world.
Over the course of four months, the students will receive direct guidance from professionals at KAP MNK, a reputable public accounting firm known for handling a diverse range of clients with various auditing and consulting needs. They will be involved in various activities, including financial audits, financial reporting, and financial consulting.
Rosyid Nur Anggara Putra, Head of the Sharia Accounting Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, expressed his hopes for the internship program. “We hope our students can take full advantage of this opportunity to learn directly from practitioners, develop their technical and non-technical skills, and gain a deeper understanding of sharia accounting practices in the field. This is a concrete step in supporting the Independent Learning - Independent Campus program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture.”
Meanwhile, Mahsun Nurdiono, a partner at KAP MNK, also expressed his enthusiasm for welcoming the interns. “We warmly welcome this collaboration with the Sharia Accounting Study Program, UIN Sunan Kalijaga. This MBKM internship program is expected to provide significant benefits for both parties. Upon the conclusion of the internship in June 2024, it is hoped that the students will return with a wealth of new knowledge and skills that will be beneficial for their future careers. This program is also expected to serve as a model for other study programs to establish similar collaborations with industry, in order to prepare competent and work-ready graduates.
